Just a quick hello today… I’ve just found out My Darling Lemon Thyme is a finalist in the 2012 Saveur Best Food Blog Awards! I’m still hyperventilating a little and kinda can’t believe that this little blog of mine is up there with some of the best in the world and was picked from over 40,000 entires! I just want to thank those of you who took the time to nominate me in the first place, I am humbled by all of this, seriously.

As all competitions go these days, the winner is chosen by votes. So if you have a spare 30 seconds feel free to pop over here, and vote for me in the ‘Best Special Diets Blog’ category. You do have to sign up to vote, but it takes about 30 seconds. Voting closes 26th April so feel free to tell everyone you know to vote also!

I hope you all have a beautiful Easter weekend. Thank you and lotsa love xx emm

    1. Hehe I'm surprised no one else has asked that question Jacquie! They are a fruit called water apple or mận in Vietnamese. They grow in Vietnam but Si's aunty has a tree over here in Perth too 🙂

    2. You can find these in Malaysia too. If memory serves me right the name for it in Malaysia is 'jambu'. I remember them used in a salad specific to Penang – Penang Rojak. I've never seen them outside of Malaysia!

    3. Ah cool, yeah I think they can actually be found in a few countries even though I only ever seem to associate them with Vietnam! (Naughty me!) I think they are even found in places like Fiji too? I'd LOVE to try them in a salad, take me to Penang next time you go will you Shirleen?! xx

  3. You have my vote, too! I swing by this blog and print out your recipes to take to the market. Always good to stop by. Your photos are a feast for the eyes, too. Yummy, here!

    1. I have to admit that I think my chances of actually winning are slim to none, but you never know eh? Thanks so much for you vote Angela xx
